More, More, More


 
What I Wore

Jacket - Forever 21/ Shoes - Ann Taylot





Inspiration.  Whether I am deciding what to wear, how to decorate my house or what to write, I look for something to inspire me.  For me, inspiration comes from many things.  Sometimes I have seen something (Pinterest, anyone?), read something, or heard something, that strikes me. At other times I combine ideas and "tweak" others so that they fit my personality and needs, as I don't think there is a perfect solution for every situation (I may love the look of a short skirt on you, but think it makes my thighs look ridiculously huge.).  When inspiration strikes, I have to "strike while the iron is hot".  For example, if I want to put together a gallery wall in my kitchen, I don't stop looking for the "perfect" frames until I have them.  And when I want an excuse to wear the pair of shoes that random strangers compliment me about, I make sure I find a new top so I get to wear them again (the top and the shoes in this outfit).  What inspires you?

    Looks great! Love the white sweater - nice neutral during winter, when I know I mainly wear dark colors!

    You are a vision, as usual. Love it all, yea for white in the winter! You asked what we are inspired by? Blogs, Pinterest, window displays at the mall, friends, foes ... you name it, I take note! And since my little brain has memory issues I also take pictures. So yea for white in winter AND cameras on phones! xoxo jules

    Sara, I love this look on you! This is one of those outfits that looks effortless and just makes you look put together. Those are my favorite and I always aspire to look effortless, but it so rarely happens for me.

    Love this outfit. So comfy and simple, yet chic!

    I'm finding pinterest/polyvore particularly inspiring these days, but really most of my outfit inspirations come from other blogs (like this one). So many outfits from other sources are really cute but either crazy expensive or require specific pieces/colors that I don't have. Worse, some of them seem just kind of off when I see them on my body instead of either a skinny little model or flat from polyvore. Seeing the outfits on someone else works far better for making me want to actually give something a try!

    My kinda look, and I love it on you! A lot of my inspiration comes from nature...but I am finding I am influenced by Pinterest and other blogs too.

      Isn't it awesome?! I just got this color and already it is one of my favorites! It is by Maybelline in the ColorSensational line called Coral Crush #515.

      Nikki - I got the jacket in the fall (September I think?). I saw a similar one at Old Navy the other day if F21 isn't carrying it anymore. I hope you find one, it has been a favorite go to for me!

    I'm inspired by so many things - Pinterest is definitely one of them :) but also the things I see in my travels and all the wonderful things around me. Your blouse is so pretty - I love sweet patterns like that, and it goes so well with the sweater. I really like white in winter, I think it looks so fresh.
