Blame it on Mexico

I grew up in a small Midwestern town and I typically ate what would be considered plain "meat and potato" type of meals.  If it wasn't grown in our (or my grandparents) backyard garden or on one of our fruit trees or bushes, I probably didn't try a vegetable or fruit (other than oranges around Christmas).  I remember the first time I ate what would be considered "fast food" tacos - my oldest brother drove us 30 miles on a 2 lane country road to a "city".  So, you might think that as an adult I would still prefer the same type of food.  While I won't turn down a piece of pot roast with potatoes and carrots, if I can have some guacamole on top of my hamburger, I am a happy girl.  What type of eater are you?  Do you enjoy trying new things or do you tend to stick with things you know and love?

  1. Love the leopard with stripes! I was born and raised in PA, moved to Dallas after college. So same here, raised on meat and potatoes and blandness. I am addicted to Mexican food, we got out at least once a week for fajitas. And don't even get me started on guacamole!

  4. Generally I love to eat new things but I am a bit fussy about some things! Love the cheeky hint of leopard. Thanks for being part of Wardrobe Weds this week :-)
