What I Wore
Sweater - Forever 21/Red Jeans - Forever 21/Boots - Thrifted
Necklace - Gift (Best Personalized Jewelry) /Earrings - Forever 21/
Valentine's Day may be 3 1/2 weeks away, but it is never the wrong time to show love! When I saw this sweater in Forever 21, I couldn't grab it fast enough. The black and white stripes and that large red heart...I knew I would be wearing it with my red jeans as soon as I could. I know that there are some that are of the opinion that Valentine's Day is a "Hallmark holiday" and that you shouldn't need a day to tell someone that you love them, so they don't put much, if any, emphasis on February 14. However, although I do tell those people in my life that I love them whenever I feel the urge, there is something about a day set aside to celebrate love that just speaks to me. I decorate (I spent this afternoon putting red hearts and pink flowers around the house), I make special plans and in general look forward to a special day in the middle of February that gives me another way to make sure my family knows I love them. What about you, do you celebrate Valentine's Day with plans, candy and flowers, or are you more of a person who thinks Hallmark and the florists have a good thing going because so many people spend money buying their products?
We always do a quiet Valentine's Day and have a little smile at all the $$$$ Hallmark makes! Love is for every day, right? Your necklace is so pretty - thanks for sharing your great look with Visible Monday!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool sweater! I love it!
ReplyDeleteWe don't do much for Valentine's Day mostly because my husband thinks it's a "Hallmark holiday" too. I use to get my feelings hurt about that but now I just do loving stuff with candy treats to my kids instead. Life is so much more pleasant without expectations. ;)
Great job on the money-saving and style front with this outfit!
ReplyDeleteHope you can swing by and check out my post,

ReplyDeleteI love your sweater. It is just fab and I'd wear it on V-Day for sure. The monogram necklace is very pretty too. I have one and love it and wear it all the time.
Hi love your jumper,I need one :) stopping by from the weekend blog hop and following by GFC ,would be great if you would follow back ?
ReplyDeleteOoh we have the same blog layout :) that is so cool :)
ReplyDeleteI love this jumper, anything with hearts on is a winner for me. We celebrate with sending each other a card and going out for something to eat but we try not to spend too much money, although we like to make sure we do something to celebrate :)

Really adorable. You're ready for V-Day, and no mistake. Nice response to a trend that will extend long beyond the big day ... I'd love to see it with a pencil skirt as well, or leather pants before it gets too hot to wear them. So much fun for one girl to have!
ReplyDeleteLove that sweater!!! I love and hate Valentines day! haha
